Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center Modernization Project

"The modernization of this regional medical center is a needed investment in order for Eastern Visayas, as one of the poorest regions of the country, to catch up on the Millennium Development Goals of improving maternal health and decreasing infant mortality especially for indigent households. The modernization of the EVRMC will involve: a. Expansion of hospital to 500-bed capacity medical center (old: 325 bed capacity) b. Transfer to new site: Barangay Cabalawan, Tacloban City 31,123sqm (old: 12,876 sqm) c. New IT System: computerization back and front office systems, finance, personnel, etc. d. New Hospital with Medical Equipment (e.g., CT scan, Laparoscopic Tower, endoscopy, etc.)."
